note#1: two other places (besides oklahoma) that i never never EVER will live -
southern california
mountains

note#2: audiobooks are a gift from god if you must leave your youngest daughter alone in a new place and drive 2000 miles away from her (also alone, the driving, after being spoiled for days with instructions, assistance and many giggles)

note#2.a: be sure to tell eldest daughter about the audio books, who will be duplicating a similar trip next month (in reverse direction)

note#2.b: don’t even think about this right now.

note#3: windfarms are my new favorite landscape

note#4: rockstar energy drinks work

    bobbi! welcome back!

those windfarms *are* cool… i took a bunch of pics of them through the bus window on my trip to texas in april. they’re just sitting on the sd card in all their coolness– haven’t done anything with them yet. amazing how they just go on and on and on. but lynda barry say’s they *aren’t* cool! they need another energy source to make them work (or something like that). Poo…

Welcome back, Bobbi. Ah, those bittersweet moments when our kids grow up and out, yes? I guess it must get easier, but I’m not sure when. Looking forward to more art…jb

thank you all! lynne, i wondered about the energy source for the windmills, too. it is a curious technology that i probably romanticize. but who knows … maybe it could work. i think i would certainly prefer it over nukes!

  5. lynne says:

yeah, preferred to nukes for sure… i can’t wrap my mind around the way they work at all– but then i haven’t done any research on them either. * but* they are very, very cool to gaze upon. for miles and miles…
